About Us and Information

Our Story

Games Chain has been around for 10 years, catering to not only locals but customers from far and wide and building a reputation of knowledge and trust within the gaming community. It quickly became known as the place to go if you wanted to talk to staff who enjoyed the games just as much as you do, and who enjoyed doing the research on products so they could best help you out.

To this day, the staff at Games Chain are friendly, reliable and always ready to share their excitement over the newest hit game or puzzle.

Locating Our Store

We have a large retail store located in the heart of  Westfield Shoppingtown, Chatswood. Look for the walls of games and the bright 'Games Chain' sign on level 2 right next to the entrance of Target. Our staff all share knowledge and passion for games, and would love to have a chat about what it is that you're looking for in your next board game, card game or RPG.

Returns and Refunds Policy

Returns for Exchange:

  • Returns must be received within 14 days of the customer receiving the product(s).
  • The product(s) should be in its original condition and package.
  • We will exchange the item(s) within 2 months of purchase.
  • Freight cost to RETURN the product is covered by the customer*
  • Freight cost to RESEND the product is covered by the customer.
  • Please note we do not give refunds for exchanges. We are happy to offer a store credit.**

*We are not responsible for any lost returned parcels so please send it back to us via a traceable method like registered post or traceable courier.

**Store credit will exclude the shipping cost which was used to send the product(s) in the first place.

Exchange or credit request (no refund)

Returns for Faulty Products:

  • If a product is faulty, it should be returned to us within 21 days of the customer receiving the item.
  • Please contact customerservice@gameschain.com.au or call us at (02) 9884 7333 to arrange a return for the product.
  • Faulty products once received by Games Chain can be exchanged for new one or a refund.

Puzzle Exchange Policy

Effective 25th April 2020

We have recently changed our policy
regarding the exchange/return of jigsaw puzzles with missing pieces and/or
other defects.

If you have bought a defective jigsaw
puzzle from us, please bring your puzzle into the store with proof of purchase
in order to provide evidence of the missing pieces/defect (photo evidence is not enough). We will get in contact with the manufacturer  to send you a replacement of the same product.

We no longer do exchanges or returns
for faulty jigsaw puzzles. We will do replacements only, as long as a receipt
of purchase is provided.

Staff at Games Chain are expected to have a high level of knowledge about board games and be skilled in providing recommendations or answer any questions which customer's may have!

Shipping Information

Games Chain is dedicated to providing the best possible service to our customers. We aim to deliver games quickly and on time to your doorstep so you can enjoy them sooner. 

To do this, we use both Fastway and Australia Post to ensure a fast, safe and reliable delivery service. Depending on where you are, shipping times will vary. Below is an estimate of the time a package will generally take to reach you after your order is placed and shipped from our warehouse.

  • Queensland 2 - 6 Days
  • South Australia 2 - 5 Days
  • Perth 4 - 7 Days
  • Western Australia, Alice Springs 5 - 9 Days
  • Tasmania, Darwin 3 - 6 Days

Unfortunately we do not ship to PO. Boxes

We do not ship outside of Australia. 

Because we always try to maintain the security of your packages, all deliveries will require a signature upon arrival. To make sure you can enjoy your products as soon as possible, please ensure that they are delivered to a residence where someone is guaranteed to be home at the time of delivery, or have your items shipped to a business address. Alternatively if you are not home, the parcel will be delivered to the nearest courier depot for pick up. 

Shipping Costs. 

At Games chain, we want you to feel like no matter what you are buying, our prices are accessible for anyone who enjoys games. Therefore we provide a flat $9.90 shipping fee for any orders under $150. For orders over $150, shipping is free of charge.
